Q: What motivated you to take on the Lanzarote Triathlon?

 

A: I'm always looking for new challenges to push myself and the Lanzarote Triathlon is one of the toughest races in the world. I decided to take it on as a personal challenge and also to raise awareness for a charity that I support.


 

Q: How was the race on the day?

A: It was tough, to say the least. The wind was incredibly strong, and the hills were steep, but that's part of the challenge. I just had to keep going and remind myself of my goals.

 

Q: What was the toughest part of the race?

A: The bike ride was definitely the most challenging part of the race. The wind was so strong that it felt like you were cycling in slow motion. But I just kept pushing myself and didn't give up.

 

Q: How did it feel to cross the finish line, Asko Hilke?

A: It was an incredible feeling, and I felt proud of myself for completing the race. I was exhausted, but the feeling of accomplishment was worth it. It was also great to know that I had raised awareness for a charity that I support.
